Taking Good Jewelry Photos

is so much easier now that my brother made me a lightbox. He used a cardboard box, cut holes on the top and sides & covered the holes with white tissue paper. Look at the great results:
I grabbed these rocks out of my front planters. Not only do they keep the squirrels from digging in the pots, they are fantastic as jewelry props--I so appreciate double duty items!

The other thing I'm having fun with is Picasa. It's a free photoshop program which I used to get rid of all the dusty bits on my black background. I've got a ton of jewelry that came back from an art gallery out in Illinois, so I'd better stop playing with photos & go unpack. Bye for now!

Your lightbox is working beautifully! Great photos! I am just now looking up your blog after receiving a pair of your earings from my husband as a gift. The 'mismatched duo' I believe they were called. I absolutely love these earings!
