Studs For Spring!

A frequent complaint I hear from art show attendees is that there aren't any non-dangly earring styles to choose from. So without further ado, here are the first pieces from my new line of studs!
(grey moonstone 6mm diameter)

(same earrings in different lighting)

(Micro Mini Studs, with 4mm garnets)

(5mm Orbs, recycled from sterling scraps)

Another style I haven't made until now are hoops. Hoops are always wardrobe relevant & these are shaped like Walla Walla onions. Simple, yet different from traditional round hoops.

These refused to be tamed into perfect circles also:

I keep a small margarine tub of sterling silver scraps that I periodically send off to the refinery for cash. But why not recycle the scraps myself? These were once a teeny pile of scrap wire:

I simply melt them into little balls, solder ear wires to them & toss into the tumbler for 12hrs. They come out super duper shiny, hardened & durable.

I'm not into mirror shiny jewelry, so I gave these a brushed finish. If I don't decide to keep them all for myself, they'll be at my first show of the year: Artists Boutique in Kirkwood on March 8 & 9th. See you then!
